Bel Terra Landscape Construction and Maintenance was formed in 1992 and is owned and operated by Philip Taylor. Philip has a degree in Horticulture for the University of Rhode Island (1988) and is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Rhode Island (#282). He has been working in the landscape business for over 30 years providing all phases of landscape construction and maintenance, and snow removal service. Working under Phil is Bob Gainor. Bob recently joined Bel Terra in 2016 and has a degree in Forest Management from the University of Maine at Orono.

Bel Terra operates under two divisions and each division operates with several crews. The Landscape Construction division is run by Philip Taylor, and this division is responsible for all types of landscape construction including masonry services, tree and shrub installation, site work, turf installation, irrigation installation, and snow removal service. The Lawn Maintenance division is run by Bob Gainor, and this division is responsible for all lawn and yard care services including mowing, fertilization, mulching, pruning, and tree and shrub care.

Bel Terra is a member of the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association. We have licensed Pesticide Applicators and Hoist Operators on staff, and we are a registered Contractor with the State of Rhode Island (#13317). Additionally, we maintain a Sidewalk Contractors License (#2010-23), which is required for sidewalk installation in the City of Providence.
